What to Bring to Balboa Beach Pier
Anyone who has spent time at the beach knows you need to come prepared. You’ll want to bring hats, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and of course, money to spend on all the great activities you want to do, especially small bills for the Ferris wheel and any rides at the Fun Zone. Be sure to pack a beach bag to carry your items. The good news? You likely won’t need an umbrella!
Balboa Fun Zone is best for family fun near Balboa Beach Pier. Take a ride on the Ferris wheel, and play in the arcade! After the kids are worn out, ride on the Balboa Island Ferry to Balboa Island. This is a true Newport Beach experience! The ferry runs between 6:30 a.m. and 12 a.m. Monday through Sunday. One-way fares for pedestrians start at $1.50 for adults and 50 cents for children, so it’s an easy way to see Newport Beach from the water. Once on the island, enjoy bike-riding or walking to take in the sights.
Where to Eat
Newport Beach has many options for great dining. Local favorites like Wilma’s Patio on Balboa Island offer many choices from American to Mexican and even comfort food. Check out other Newport favorites.
Where to Shop
