Our Southern California coastal paradise is full of beauty around every corner. The vast stretches of sand lining the Pacific are home to many local treasures, especially the Newport Beach Pier. Decades of history live within the boards that make up this iconic structure that serves as the backdrop to most beach activities along this beautiful stretch of scenic shoreline.

Discover the Newport Beach Pier
The Newport Beach Pier is the heart and soul of beach life in our sunny coastal paradise. From the 1940s to do, this famous site stands as a symbol of the area and offers a glimpse into Newport Beach’s past. Today, most people walk the long wooden stretches of this icon, soak in the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island, or use it as a fantastic backdrop for photos. There is also a second pier, the Balboa Peninsula Pier, located further down the beach. Check out some of our favorite things to do near the Newport Beach Pier below!
Attractions and Things to Do Around the Newport Beach Pier
Dory Fleet Fish Market
The Dory Fleet Fish Market is a historic landmark near the base of the Newport Beach Pier. This historic installment continues to serve Newport Beach since its inception in 1891. You can grab some fresh seafood to cook at your Burr White Realty rental when it’s open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday!
This is more than a fair share of shopping near the Newport Beach Pier. A handful of classic surf shops, bike stores, and everyday beach needs are steps from the beach if you need them.
You will never be hungry when hanging out around the Newport Beach Pier. This restaurant hotspot is home to more than a dozen places to grab a bite to eat. Whether you want donuts, burgers, fish tacos, or burritos, you’ll find it within a few minutes walking distance.
The area around the pier bustles with activity throughout the day. You can catch a beach volleyball game at one of the many pop-up courts. Check the Newport Beach Pier fishing report and bring a rod and reel to cast in a line. You can also swim in the ocean, try your luck at surfing (or book a lesson), and sunbathe on the vast stretches of sand extending both ways.
