There are countless things to do on the Balboa Peninsula for travelers of all ages and interests. Whether you’re traveling with kids or want to unleash your inner child, a visit to the Balboa Fun Zone is a must!
This classic bayfront entertainment hub includes small rides for kids and a large arcade that are great for families! Bumper cars, carnival games, and a Ferris wheel create a sense of nostalgia that will have you feeling like a little kid again.

Fashion Island is the crown jewel of shopping in Newport Beach. This open-air shopping mall features countless shops, restaurants, and a movie theater.
5. Christmas Boat Parade
The annual Christmas Boat Parade is one of our favorite Newport Beach Christmas traditions. Every year, dozens of residents and visitors decorate their vessels with festive lights, ornaments, and inflatables before parading them around the Newport Bay for all to see. The result is an unparalleled sight that will get everyone in the holiday spirit! This classic Newport Beach Christmas event takes place on five consecutive nights in December.
