3 Options for an Orange County Road Trip
1. Irvine to Newport Beach
The trip from Irvine to Newport Beach is incredibly short. The route only takes about 20 minutes to drive, so it’s perfect for a day trip or last-minute weekend getaway! You can also take a ride-share between the two cities if you don’t want to drive. Newport Beach is also a great destination for a date night, as our area offers several restaurants with ocean views!
2. Anaheim to Newport Beach
Anaheim to Newport Beach is another easy road trip. The distance between the two cities is only 19 miles, so you can complete the drive in just under 30 minutes! It’s the perfect option to escape after a long week at work. With such easy access to the beach, you’re sure to forget that you’re just 30 minutes from home!
3. San Diego to Newport Beach
San Diego, located on the southern end of Orange County, is another great option for a California road trip! Even still, the drive from San Diego to Newport Beach is only about an hour and 20 minutes. Travelers leaving after work should keep in mind that rush-hour traffic can add up to 40 minutes to your drive. So, plug in your phone, turn on your favorite podcast, and cruise!
If time isn’t a concern, we recommend taking a detour on the Pacific Coast Highway from Dana Point up through Laguna Beach. This route only adds 20 to 30 minutes to your journey and the views are well worth it!
