Welcome to Peninsula Point! This spacious one-story home, located in a quiet, residential area is within easy walking distance of Balboa Pier. Plenty of cozy seating in the living area and an enclosed side patio with barbecue make the home a comfortable option for families looking for a more out-of-the-hustle and bustle rental.

LIVING & DINING

Enter into a large, split living area with a couch - which folds out into a sleeper - and built-in bench seating on one side and, on the other side, two loveseats and a colorful bench on the other.

The light, bright dining room has a large oval table and six chairs. Just beyond, the updated kitchen has more than ample counter and storage space for serving up family meals.

BED & BATH

The first bedroom is just off the kitchen with closet and an adjacent full bath with tub and shower combination. The middle bedroom has a queen bed, the back bedroom a king with a half bath in the hallway between. The back bedroom has a sliding glass door to access a rear deck.

OUTDOOR SPACES

Soak in the sunshine from three outdoor patios. The elevated front deck at the entry has a table and chairs for enjoying bay breezes. The side patio just off the kitchen has a gas barbecue. The back patio off the bedroom is unfurnished, but allows for lovely, cool airflow.

The garage is not available, street parking only.

THE LOCATION

Stroll to the surf for an afternoon of beach fun or walk on the sand or boardwalk – which begins a few blocks away – to the Balboa Pier area for an array of shopping and dining options—stop at Cabo Cantina for happy hour margaritas or Harborside for seafood and views of the bay.

Win classic carnival prizes at the Arcade, ride the Ferris wheel at The Fun Zone or cast a line off Balboa Pier and fuel up with burgers or salads at Ruby’s retro diner. The ferry ride to Balboa Island takes just minutes and opens up a whole new set of shopping and dining options.

PERFECTION!
We booked our stay last minute and Jane was so helpful. We stayed in 129 G St. in Balboa and LOVED it. We found its location to be amazing with only a few houses behind us to the beach and across the street for the bay and fun zone. The home was darling and CLEAN.

Perfect Beach Rental
Being locals in the area, my family and I stayed here as our temporary home while our home was going through major construction. We stayed here for a month and it truly felt like we were on vacation. Literally steps to the beach and it is situated away from the crowds but close enough to walk to the restaurants & shops. We will definitely rent back as a staycation next year.

Pros and Cons
We were 9 guests ages 2 to 74 and the location was great for everyone: nice walking neighborhood for the adults, good biking for the younger, EASY beach access for all (no streets to cross,LGuard station close). Having the whole house meant no concerns about routine noise level. The house could have been better equipped: kitchen tools, places to dry towels, several broken chairs, fridge is old, etc.

Best Vacay Ever!
Great location, awesome neighbors, the house as a whole was just what we were looking for! We loved how close this house was to the balboa fun zone. it was just a short walk to the catalina ferry and our children loved the arcades! Can't wait to book again next summer!

family get away + Disney
The house was well located for our use and lifestyle. The beach was a block away & no streets had to be crossed. Great for the little ones. Bikes provided gave good get-aways to beach & the "wedge" 6 blocks away. Neighborhood was quiet, out of the commercial district, yet very interactive being on the corner. Front deck was always in the shade, fun to interact with passers by. House slept 9 just fine. One bath seemed to be manageable, two would be better. Kids bed in alcove room is too high to allow 4-7 yr old sleep, no railing and fall would be big hurt. Couple of notes, broiler in stove full of grease, floors swept but not mopped thus dirty on bare feet. Window ventilation and ceiling fans kept house cool at night. Would rent this again in a heart beat even though somewhat dated. Living room large & lots of seating. Perhaps a ceiling fan in the living room?
Did not use firepit in small side patio.

Grand Faded Lady
We (8 peeps) had an activity-packed, May-June week of family reunion in this well laid-out house, w/ huge sunlit windows. (The sand & beach is a 1 minute, no traffic, walk.) The tv, dvd player, & internet work fast & consistent. The bikes & beach chairs are super, as is the large kitchen w/gas stove. Shower pressure is amazing, as is the outdoor warm water shower, for after beach rinses. The 1 & 1/2 baths were very clean, as was kitchen, rest of house needs a deep clean. W/D works well. Great front deck, w/table & umbrella, but close to active street for little ones. Back & side decks have privacy fences, a bbq & portable fire pit. 1 good parking space in front of garage. If we owned this house, we would wash the decks, replace non-functional dining rm chairs, provide new mattresses w/waterproof covers, rip out dirty & stained bedrm carpets, replace bdrm skylight, give walls fresh paint & service the a/c. The kitchen knives we sharpened & purchased a crescent wrench for bike seat adjustments. As usual, Burr White staff was always responsive to our questions & requests. 1/4 mile to Balboa Village & Balboa Island Ferry. Quiet, friendly, location.

Great Value! Wonderful Location! Well Apportioned Home!
This home has it all. Plenty of space for our family of five, lots of useful indoor and outdoor areas, and a garage full of bikes, beach chairs and water toys. Rent it now! The half-block walk to the beach made it easy for each child to walk alone if needed (youngest is 10). We biked to the Balboa Fun Zone and Pier, Newport Pier area, and walked along the jetty and the Wedge. Never saw the neighbors except in passing. Parking was easy. Linens were plentiful and house was very clean. Burr White is a gracious, easy rental company to work with, offering many special touches that made our stay even better. Thank You!

Hooray for our stay near Newport bay!
Burr White staff was efficient from start to finish. Prior to check-in, I received regular email updates. On check-in day, their office was packed with eager vacationers. The process was expedient and friendly. The tote bag, towel, bucket, etc. was an unexpected and nice touch. When some minor service was needed for a smoke alarm and light bulbs, Burr White staff quickly responded and resolved everything in a professional and respectful manner. We hope to have another chance to rent from Burr White in the future.

Amazing Weekend
Pros: amazing location, cozy house. Big enough not to bump into people. clean (except bath tub). Living rooms and kitchen were spotless and so the rest of the bedrooms. Burr White people were very professional. Will rent from them again anytime. One of the neighbors was very pleasant and friendly.
Cons: Older neighbor came knocking around 6 pm & asked us not to make loud noise after 10:00 pm which was OK. A woman went by and
kept taking pictures of us/house/activities??? was weird.
Other than that EXCELLENT WILL RENT HOUSE FOR LONGER TIME NEXT TIME. THANK YOU

Family vacation
The location was great . The kids loved the outdoor shower . The kitchen was well equipped and our family enjoyed cruising on the beach on the bicycles that were in the garage . I would recommend this house to anyone.

Good place to stay
The company was great to work with. We had to change our dates about a month prior to our vacation, and they were easy to work with. The house is very clean, although the decor is random, cheap, and cheesy. My only complaints are the garbage cans and the the mattresses. There are only two tiny trash cans and trash service on Mondays. We had a full house and ate in most nights, so by the end of the week the cans were overflowing and flies were everywhere. The mattresses were not very comfortable, but we were still able to sleep. Lots of kitchen and living space. We were not crowded with 9 people + a toddler. Outdoor shower is a nice amenity, although the outdoor deck could use a little repair. The location is fanstastic. We didn't have too difficult a time finding parking in mid-July, and we brought 3 cars. There were some bikes and boogie boards in the garage that we used several times. The beach is very close and not insanely crowded like at Newport Pier. Overall, we had an amazing vacation despite the flies and mattresses.

Our extended family had a great week at the beach. For the price, the location is great and it's on the quiet end of the peninsula. The only complaint was the beds were not very comfortable.

The Hein Family Beach Vacation
Everything at the rental property was ready for us to settle in as soon as we arrived from Texas. The property management staff was very helpful and provided all the information we needed. The neighborhood was great and we felt secure in allowing the grand kids to come and go to the beach as they wished. We thought that parking was going to be a challenge with all the summertime beach goers but it worked out and never had to park to far from the house. Even restaurants and shopping were within walking distance of the place. So it was all good.
