This upper unit with central air is on the boardwalk and has wonderful views of the ocean and beach, as well as The Balboa Pier and Catalina Island. The Balboa Island ferry, the Pier and neighboring shops, eateries and activities are all just a quick walk away!

LIVING & DINING

The living area has a sofa that converts to a queen bed, a loveseat, and two chairs with ottomans and a flat panel TV. The wooden dining table has six chairs and the counter has a couple of stools for quick bites and snacks. The kitchen has updated appliances and wrap-around counters, everything essential for whipping up family favorites - except for the chef and the groceries! The kitchen also has a Dutch-door leading onto a deck with table and chairs for dining al fresco.

BED & BATH

The home has four bedrooms, all with ceiling fans, including a very spacious – Shaq size! - master suite with king bed, en-suite bath and separate dressing room with vanity and sink. The front twin bedroom has sliders that open out to the same deck as the kitchen to welcome in cooling breezes. The third bedroom has two twin beds, the last has a queen. The shared hall bath has a tub/shower combination.

OUTDOOR SPACE

The rental has a deck between the kitchen and first bedroom with a small table and chairs and a propane barbecue for private outdoor dining and grilling up family favorites. You do not have access to the downstairs patio.

A shared washer and dryer are located in the garage, along with two parking spaces for this unit.

THE LOCATION

The home is situated between the piers just up the boardwalk from the Balboa Pier, Balboa Pavilion and surrounding boutiques and eateries. Try Ruby's Diner for burgers and salads at the pier’s end and catch fishermen plying their trade as well as the occasional dolphin frolicking in the waves. The playground at the base of the pier has an open, grassy lawn where kids of all ages can run free and play games. Find dozens of dining options in Balboa - Mint Leaf and Great Mex are casual local hangouts, BJs Pizza and Cruisers are known for pizza, and Newport Landing and Harborside’s Saloon have terrific happy hour specials every day of the week, plus fresh fish and beautiful harbor views from their dining rooms. Try a Balboa Bar or frozen banana for dessert at the Fun Zone. Deep sea fishing and whale watching excursions can be booked through Davey’s Locker and daytrips to Catalina at the Pavilion. Hop the ferry to Balboa Island via bicycle or on foot to stroll among more coastal-chic shops and cafes.
