OUTDOOR SPACE

It doesn’t get much better on the bayfront than this porch which seats four at the table and has a BBQ - great for grilling family meals while sharing the day’s adventures! Relax and enjoy some of the best views around - sailboats bobbing on the water. The bayfront boardwalk is just outside your front gate.

The carport provides parking for two cars (on the left).

THE LOCATION

Balboa Village is just down the boardwalk. Visit Newport Landing or Harborside Restaurant in the historic Balboa Pavilion for amazing views and unbeatable happy hour deals (try the fried calamari!) every day, or seafood in the bayfront dining room. Ruby’s Diner at the end of the pier is a must for burgers and shakes in a retro setting. Other local’s favorites are Cruisers, Mint Leaf and casual Great Mex. Take the ferry to explore Balboa Island with its many boutiques and eateries or rent a bike and pedal the bike path (boardwalk) to access the entire Peninsula.

It’s a fifteen-minute bike ride or thirty minute walk to the Newport Pier area with more shops and local eateries. Purchase freshly caught fish direct from fishermen at the Dory Fleet Fish Market, established in 1891. Seaside Donuts serves up fresh donuts 24/7, Dory Deli has breakfast, lunch and dinner and terrific people-watching! 21 Ocean Front and Fly ‘n’ Fish offer more upscale dining. Charlie’s Chili on McFadden Square is “don’t miss” breakfast spot for visitors and locals alike.

The area offers endless opportunities for family fun!

Christmas at Newport
Was a pleasant week for Christmas. The gas fireplace helped keep the house cozy. The view of the harbor was incredible. My Mother in Law fell in love with the rocking chair.
