Spend the Perfect Day at Huntington Beach
1. Relax on the Beach
Relaxing on the sandy shores of the Pacific is one of the top things to do at Huntington Beach. Miles of beach shoreline offers visitors tons of space to sprawl out on a towel and tan or sit under an umbrella and read a book. The views out across the ocean are incredible, and it’s the perfect place to spend a morning or afternoon under the Southern California sun.
2. Play Some Beach Volleyball
If you’re a fan of beach volleyball, then you probably know that Huntington Beach is a famous landmark for the sport. Not only is there a large stadium on the sand where there are frequent tournaments to watch, but you’ll also find an array of public courts for public use. 3. Try Your Luck at Surfing
Huntington Beach also has an incredible surfing scene. Surf schools around town offer lessons and courses for all skill levels and the Pacific provides the perfect learning grounds. Be sure to check the surf report for the day before hitting the water.
4. Take a Walk on the Huntington Beach Pier
The famous Huntington Beach Pier is a Southern California icon. You can fish, take a stroll, and even grab something to eat at Ruby’s Diner at the end of the pier. Whatever you choose to do, the views of the Orange County coastline are well worth a walk, especially during sunset.
5. Explore Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve
If you want to try something different during a visit to Huntington Beach, make sure you check out Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. This beautiful outdoor oasis is home to some of the best wildlife viewing in Orange County. Birders and photographers will especially want to add this to their list of things to do at Huntington Beach.
6. Grab a Bite to Eat on Main Street
Huntington Beach’s downtown area is full of casual restaurants that offer much-needed nourishment after spending hours under the sun. The street also has plenty of shopping, and it’s a couple of hundred feet away from the beach!
